Green Goddess Fromagerie is an Artisan Vegan Cheese Purveyor, based in Guelph, founded by a family of lifelong cheese lovers. Green Goddess cheese was born in the kitchen, with a desire to align ethics and health without compromising exceptional taste. Green Goddess Fromagerie makes vegan cheese products using fragments of cashews that would otherwise not be sold. They work with fair trade Brazilian and Grenadian cashew farmers to buy broken cashew pieces that would normally be considered a waste product. These smaller pieces are perfect for creating a pure cashew milk to culture into cheese.
With support through the COIL Activate Program, Green Goddess Fromagerie was able to expand its capacity with the purchase of an automated unifiller to more easily fill packages of the cheese products. Additional financing has supported this process for further efficiency and for research and development to explore alternative packaging options. Green Goddess Fromagerie has recently moved into a new space in Guelph able to accommodate these process upgrades.
